Samples for analysis

The material to be studied for the detection of staphylococci is washings from equipment, surfaces of specialized premises designed for work in aseptic conditions: • pathological material (pus, secretion of mucous membranes, blood, sputum, urine) • material probably infected with staphylococci • material isolated in case of intestinal poisoning (vomiting masses, washing water, defecation)

Application method

The contents of the vial are dissolved in 5.0 ml of isotonic 0.9% sodium chloride solution. It is allowed to store the dissolved drug at a temperature of 2 to 8 ºС for 2 days. Setting up the plasma coagulation reaction: put 0.5 ml of diluted 1:5 plasma into two sterile test tubes. In one test tube, suspend one loop of the studied culture of staphylococcus, grown on nutrient agar for the cultivation of microorganisms (SPA) for (18 + 2) g at a temperature of (37 + 1) ºС. The second tube is a control (diluted plasma without culture). The tubes are placed in a thermostat at a temperature of (37 + 1) ° C.

Registration and accounting of results

It is carried out visually. A positive result of the reaction is considered the presence of plasma coagulation (it forms a jelly-like clot of any consistency, from slightly viscous to thick). Preliminary accounting of results in 2-3 hours, final - in 18-24 hours. Absence of plasma coagulation within 24 hours is considered a negative result of the reaction. In the control tube, changes in plasma consistency should not be observed. Decontamination is carried out with a 6% solution of hydrogen peroxide.

Composition of the set

Vials with a dispenser of 1 ml. There are 10 vials in a cardboard pack together with instructions for use.

Conditions of storage and use of the set

                 Store in the packaging of the manufacturer's enterprise in a dry place protected from direct sunlight at a temperature of 2-8 ºС. Transportation is allowed at a temperature of 9 to 25 ºС within 10 days. It is allowed to store the dissolved drug at a temperature of 2 to 8 ºС for no more than 2 days. Shelf life - 2 years.
