The Eagle MEM medium with Hanks salts, without glutamine, with a double set of vitamins and amino acids, is a mixture of inorganic salts, amino acids, vitamins, glucose and phenol red dissolved in purified water, sterilized through filters with a pore size of 0.1 μm.
This medium was developed for cultivation of cells outside the incubator, since it was prepared on Hanks salts with low sodium bicarbonate content (1.0 g / l).
The preparation is a clear liquid, a reddish-orange color, without opalescence and sediment. Antibiotics does not.
pH: 7.0 to 7.4
Osmolarity: 290 +/- 20 mOsmol / kg
Buffer capacity: not less than 0.8 ml
PURPOSE:
This product is intended for research purposes.
The medium is used to cultivate a wide range of animal and human cells.
METHOD OF APPLICATION: Before use in a vial of medium (450 ml), add 146 mg of dry sterile L-glutamine (Cat. F032). To perform sterile work, the vial should be opened in aseptic conditions.
FORM OF ISSUE: The drug is available in plastic or glass bottles of 450 ml, which are hermetically sealed.
SHELF LIFE: 1 year.
STORAGE CONDITIONS: Store at temperatures between +2 and +8 ° C in a dark place.
