PRINCIPLE OF THE METHOD

In the presence of alpha amylase, the starch is hydrolyzed to derivatives that do not give a color reaction with iodine. The change in the intensity of dyeing the iodine-starch complex is proportional to the activity of the enzyme in the assay sample.

The final coloration of the reaction mixture may be from light brown to blue-green, depending on the activity of α-amylase.

COMPOSITION OF THE SET

SAMPLE
